We were fascinated by new things, neglecting the way we spend our afternoons. Cupcakes and tea. Play-Doh and Polly Pockets. Young and naive. Technology completely changed the way we waited and we grew up too fast. The simple things in life seems more meaningful now. I seriously just LOVE this.
I believe that God has predestined us. He has called us to be his before we were even born. I see it all over the scriptures. For some, they hear that word and think “am I chosen?” Or “what if I am not?” …
And it’s just not like that. It’s like - do you love The Lord? Do you believe he has saved you? Do you trust him? Then you are chosen! We are literally like the dead until he opens our eyes to see Him (Ephesians 2:1-10). How can one, who has only known death, choose life unless his creator shares that with him?
I find encouragement in the fact that I have been chosen. That I am so special to my dad, a king, he chose to call me his daughter (before I was even born) and I now belong to his family. He has claimed me and he will never send me away.
So I can stand in full confidence by his side knowing that he wants me there. And there is deep joy found in knowing that in all of my soul.I pray you feel that comfort and joy too.
